Wednesday Weapons – Nisha Chittal – CelebrateYOU!!

In March of this year, we were introduced to an optimistic Politicoholic. One who told the world to “Stop Doom-Mongering”. She tells graduating seniors to, “Choose action over talk. Double your job hunt efforts. Network harder…” With the full post available at Politicoholic.com, Ms. Nisha Chittal is surely someone who understands the job market and is capable of creating her own opportunities. One of which landed her at the globally recognized New Media Strategies! One day I received a call from Brian, “Joshua, I just met the same Nisha Chittal, you met at the Politics Online Conference; she works at New Media Strategies, too.” Was I surprised from the news? Never, it is expected from woman as determined, charming, and professional as Chittal…And for that we celebrate the Politicoholic, Nisha Chittal!
I first met Nisha when I volunteered for the Politics Online Conference, organized by GWU’s Julie Germany. I remember I was setting up for a moderator, when I turned around and noticed a familiar face. “I know you from somewhere,” I said. “Yea, we’ve been trying to Tweetup since I’ve been in town.” Nisha responded. (Sidebar: It was then I realized the power of Twitter!!!) From that moment on we’ve kept up with Nisha’s progression. We’re all familiar with her amazing posts on Brazen Careerist, following her cause worthy tweets on Twitter, hilarious photos on Facebook, but today we’re going to focus on one of Nisha’s inspirational projects.
Nisha is no stranger to celebrating influential women or bipartisan relations. Nisha worked exclusively on a team to develop the digital PR and online media strategy for Leslie Sanchez’ You’ve Come a Long Way. Leslie Sanchez is a Republican strategist and You’ve Come a Long Way is a book that focuses on the roles of women in politics, media, and business, more specifically First Lady Michelle Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Sarah Palin. Women have definitely made many strides and have accomplished great things, but there is much more for out here for them! I’m excited to see what’s next, especially for Nisha Chittal.
Unfortunately, Nisha was working on many important projects for New Media Strategies and could not write this post. Her dedication itself is worth celebrating and as I told her earlier today…it is an honor.
Nisha Chittal we CelebrateYOU!!
