…Tonight I saw disturbing, depressing, and heart wrenching footage of the earthquake in Haiti. As the tears came down my eyes and my heart went out to the citizens of the island, I began to pray. I prayed because this was all I could envision doing. Earlier in the day I donated to Wyclef Jean’s Yéle Haiti Foundation and comforted a friend with family in Haiti…but still felt as though that wasn’t enough. To come home and see the footage on television…I KNEW it wasn’t enough. So as the tears came down my eyes and my heart went out to the citizens of the island, I began to pray. It great to see the swift responses from everyone! Swift responses from right around the corner in Fairfax, Virginia, where they sent a coalition to Haiti…to President Obama making the disaster the number one priority. There are many organizations to donate too…find one of your liking and GIVE…don’t HESITATE…don’t DEBATE…just GIVE. Now as the tears come down my eyes and my heart goes out to the citizens of the island, I will pray…and not stop.
